Summary

Description
English: It seems that apart from the courtyard with a monumental facade the khan, aka al-Gumruk, the largest in town, consist of two rows of souks. This is one of the pictures of just the courtyard. The complex was completed in 1574. At one time it accommodated banking houses and colsulates of the French, English and Dutch. Yumruk means "customs", similarly named khans can be found in many towns.
