Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of an amiodarone molecule, C25H29I2NO3, based on the structure of the protonated molecule found in the crystal structure of amiodarone hydrochloride, reported in Acta Cryst. B (1989) 45, 172-178 (CSD Entry: DUTRUF10). The chloride ion and the proton attached to the basic amine nitrogen atom have been removed to show an estimate of the structure of the free base.

Colour code:

Carbon, C: grey
Hydrogen, H: white
Nitrogen, N: blue
Oxygen, O: red
Iodine, I: purple
Model manipulated in Avogadro 1.2 and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
