English: This is an image of a couple belonging to agriculturist caste called Koeri. They are also referred to as Kushwaha and Maurya; they are found in Bihar and Uttar pradesh they are primarily engaged in vegetable cultivation.From 1990 onwards they have also excelled in politics. I was on a tour of North Bihar and this place which is situated in Patepur constituency of Bihar vidhan Sabha is almost 60 km away from the capital Patna. We were reporting for a local channel during 2020 Bihar Assembly election and came across numerous communities. We had a brief discussion with them regarding their voting pattern too. |
