DescriptionAssociative11.jpg
11 x 11 associative magic square with maximum water retention of 3226 units. Original discovery by Johan Ofverstedt 7-18-2012. There is a conjecture that the associative magic square subset may provide the square that has the maximum combined retention for a magic square and its complement. The complement of a associative magic square is just itself. The complement of a 11 x 11 magic square is obtained by replacing each cell value by 122 - x, where x is the original cell value.
