Summary[edit]

Astra 4000 Falcon: Introduced in 1956, this semi-automatic pistol is very similar to the Astra 3000 (intro 1948) with an external hammer, chamber-loaded indicator at the rear of the slide, without a grip-safety, and in a compact form. It is a small and handy weapon available in the US under the name of the "Falcon."

This particular model was a gift from Col. Khaled Mosharrof Hossain to Capt. Muhammad Shujat Ali (25 April 1926 ~ 20 April 2007) right after the war of independence of Bangladesh. The pistol will soon be available for public viewing at the Liberation War Museum of Bangladesh (http://www.liberationmuseum.org.bd/).
