Summary

Description
English: Cuneiform sign. (in sub-section of "2-horizontals", at start of sign, (left))
Sign for "ab"-("ap")-(b, un-aspirated, p aspirated), and used in some of the en:Amarna letters when referring to the "fathers of the kings" in texts; for abu, en:Akkadian language for "father".
Used in the Amarna letters for name of letter author, and city-state ruler: en:Labaya, (author letters EA 252, 253, 254 and other letters where mentioned). Also in en:Ayyab's name, letter EA 364, obverse-(A-iYa-aB).
