Notes Col. CATHCART war als Diplomat oder Botschafter auf dem Seeweg zum Kaiser von China unterwegs. Noch vor dem Erreichen des Hafens von Batavia verstarb Cathart an Bord seines Schiffes, vermutlich an Malaria. Die Besatzung übergab den Leichnam Cathcarts einem holländischen Armeeposten (Fort Anjerie), der sich auf einer der sogenannten "Tausend Inseln" in der Sunda Straße - heute Thousand Islands National Park - in der Nähe von Jakarta befand.
