Description
Español: Los responsables municipales de Parla iniciaron este proceso para dotar de una bandera oficial a esta localidad, en cuyo archivo –que se remonta al siglo XVII-, no consta ningún documento que haga mención a ningún blasón o bandera otorgada históricamente a Parla. Este vacío se reparó en parte en 1975, cuando el Gobierno municipal adoptó el acuerdo de dotar al municipio de un escudo heráldico integrado por una avutarda de oro manchada de sable en campo de sinople y tres franjas de sinople en campo de oro. Este escudo se convierte ahora en el protagonista de la bandera que, siguiendo la normativa vigente, se enmarca en un fondo rojo, el mismo de la enseña de la Comunidad de Madrid, debido a que Parla no tenía una bandera municipal con un color tradicional o histórico.
