Deutsch: Das ehemalige Köllnische Gymnasium in der Wallstraße 42-48 in Berlin-Mitte, erbaut 1865 von Adolf Gerstenberg, hier gesehen von der Ecke Wallstraße/Inselstraße. Von dem einst dreiflügeligen, auf die Inselstraße ausgerichteten Schulbau sind nach Zerstörungen im Zweiten Weltkrieg nur der nördliche Flügel an der Wallstraße und das 1868 angefügte Direktorengebäude erhalten. Die Anlage, die heute von der Musikschule Fanny Hensel genutzt wird, steht als Gesamtanlage unter Denkmalschutz.
English: The former Köllnisches Gymnasium (=secondary school) at Wallstraße 42-48, built 1865 by Adolf Gerstenberg, as seen from the corner of Wallstraße and Inselstraße. It used to be a school building with three wings along Inselstraße. After destruction in WWII, only the northern wing along Wallstraße as well as the principal's building, added in 1868 on the same street, are preserved. The buildings are used today by the Music School Fanny Hensel. They have been desiganted as a historic landmark. |
