English: Birdwell (& Hoyland Common) Station (remains). View SW, towards Sheffield; ex-GC Sheffield (Victoria) - Barnsley line. Station closed and passenger services ceased 7/12/53, goods on 2/11/64, but line may have survived until 1970. Does anyone know? 'Hoyland Common' was dropped latterly. (Note the 'Victorian' dwelling houses beside the platform). |
