English: Bishops' House Bishops' House in Meersbrook Park was built around 1500. Local folk-law claims that two Bishops grew up here, though this belief is not supported by any known documents. The house was occupied, almost continually until 1976, when it was restored and opened to the public as a museum. It is open to the public on Saturdays from 10am to 4.30 pm and on Sundays from 11am to 4.30pm, at the present time. The museum may be visited by prior arrangement on Monday to Friday. Up to date information on opening times can be found at www.museums-sheffield.org.uk the Museums Sheffield web site.
