Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | White Christmas (Black Mirror) |
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The image depicts three necessarily non-free artefacts of the episode: first, the cookie. Used to support the plot description e.g. "digital clones stored in an egg-shaped object" (which can't go into more detail because of WP:OR and MOS:TVPLOT, and such detail wouldn't give the same illustration as the real thing) and the production section, which discusses the origins and ideas behind the fictional tech. Second, Matt Trent. His clothing, facial expression, body language etc. all convey the character in a way that words or images of the actor can't. He is the subject of discussion in the plot and detailed discussion under production. Third, style of the second story's location, pristine and futuristic-looking, as discussed in Production (Inside Black Mirror describes it as "crisp, clean [and] sterile"). |
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
Any image of the episode is necessarily non-free. |
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | Will be used in infobox, is of low resolution and only used once. |
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
As a single frame of an 89-minute episode, devoid of storyline or audio, the image cannot replace any commercial purpose of the product, because it does not replicate the entertainment value. |
