Summary

Description
English: Bridgend At the apex of the gable is a red finial with the date 1877, and at the top of each wall is a similar finial, the one on the left reading 'RN' and the one on the right 'LBI'. I have yet to discover the significance of the building and the inscriptions. On the top of Doune Hill above it is the 'Temple of Venus', a belvedere designed by William Adam and built 1737-1743. It is a category 'B' listed building, and was restored in the 1980s.
