| Description |
English: The modernist mosaic tiles at the stairs up to the overpass at the south end of the southbound (Rockaway-bound) platform of the Broad Channel IND station, at West Road and Noel Road off Cross Bay Boulevard on the island of Broad Channel, Queens. The station was (re)built in the 1950s at the end of the Independent Subway System period, but unlike its sister Grant Avenue station which features IND-style tilework, this station is an early example of the boring block tiles used in the entire system through the 1980s. |
