Original caption
For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB Grubitzsch-29.2.1984-frs-Halle: Schweres Zugunglück-Ein folgenschweres Zugunglück ereignete sich auf dem Bahnhof Hohenthurm in der Nähe von Halle. Bei dichtem Nebel fuhr der D354 Berlin-Saarbrücken auf einen haltenden Personenzug auf, an dem eine Lokomotive gekoppelt war. Dabei kamen nach bisher vorliegenden Informationen der Lokführer sowie zwei Reisende des Personenzuges ums Leben, 43 Personen erlitten Verletzungen. - weiteres siehe ADN-Meldg.-
