Eisenhower (CVN 69), followed by the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94), transit the Strait of Hormuz. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet are of operations.
