Summary

Description
English: Official U.S. Navy artist's conception of the medium-sized, conventionally-powered, aircraft carrier (CVV), proposed by the Carter administration in 1978 for inclusion in the Fiscal Year 1980 Navy Shipbuilding Program. This 62,500 ton ship would have a length of 278 m (912 ft) and an extreme width of 78 m (256 ft). It would have be capable of operating all contemporary and planned types of carrier aircraft.
