English: Calenick House From http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/cornwall/truro/photos/truro_64744.htm : "the clock tower ... belonged to an important tin smelting works which operated throughout most of the 18th and 19th centuries before closing in 1891. The tin ore was brought from the local mines, and the finished ingots of white tin were shipped from Truro". Taken from Old Falmouth Road a few yards above Calenick Bridge. |
