English: An old Great Eastern 4-4-0 at Cambridge Locomotive Depot.
No. 62503 was one of the older (1900) Russell/Holden 'Claud' 4-4-0 express engines of the Great Eastern Railway, LNER Class D14 (D15 after rebuilding) and with a small 'water-cart' tender. By 1949 this engine had long been relegated to light duties and was scrapped early in 1951. Cambridge Shed was a major Depot with an allocation of about 125 locomotives at that time, including a variety of elderly types.
