English: Carn Llidi plane crash memorial This piece of propeller has been erected at the Whitesands carpark in memory the four American airmen who lost their lives in 1943 when their plane crashed close by, on Carn Llidi, in poor visibility. The propeller was discovered by a hiker in 1999 and has been refurbished as a memorial, the inauguration of which was attended by some of the victims' relatives.
