DescriptionCastell Mawr, Red Wharf Bay, Benllech - geograph.org.uk - 86150.jpg
English: Castell Mawr, Red Wharf Bay, Benllech. Another view of this massive limestone block, the result of limestone quarrying around the site of an Iron-Age fort. The is the view from the north side, in 1993. There was at that time a possible way up on the west side (ie to the right in this view), but coming down again would have been difficult, and the undergrowth on top could well be impenetrable.
