English: Cave Pearl formation in a limestone cave. Cave pearls are formed by a concretion of calcium salts that form concentric layers around a nucleus. This formation is found at Diamond Caverns in Park City, Kentucky; which is a limestone cave. Photo courtesy of Gary Berdeaux.
