Châteaudun (Eure-et-Loir). Abbaye de la Madeleine - Ecole d'infirmières. Abbaye de Chanoines réguliers de Saint-Augustin fondée vers 1130 par Thibaut IV comte de Blois. Elle fut réunie à la congrégation de France (Génovéfains) en 1634. Il y restait 7 religieux en 1768. Fermée à la Révolution. L'abbaye fut occupée par la sous-préfecture de 1802 à 1940. La Sous-préfecture a été détruite en partie le 15 juin 1940 lors d'un bombardement. Les bâtiments de l'abbaye hébergent maintenant l'institut de formation en soins infirmiers. Abbaye de la Madeleine - School of Nursing. Abbey Canons Regular of St. Augustine founded in 1130 by Thibaut IV Count of Blois. It was joined to the congregation of France (Génovéfains) in 1634. There were seven monks in 1768. Closed by the Revolution. The abbey was occupied by the sub-prefecture from 1802 to 1940. The Sub-prefecture was partially destroyed June 15, 1940 during a bombing. The abbey buildings are now home training institute in nursing. |
