Português: Chapéu dos encourados de Pedrão durante a independência do Brasil na Bahia entre 1822 e 1823, segundo descrições e registros.

Na imagem, mostra um típico chapéu de couro dos vaqueiros do sertão baiano durante o século XIX, com sua aba frontal levantada para uma melhor visão, a testeira para maior firmeza do chapéu na cabeça e uma corda para amarrar. Os vaqueiros de Pedrão usaram esse chapéu para o combate da independência do Brasil na Bahia, e adicionaram uma chapa de latão oval no centro da aba com uma letra P e uma coroa sobre a letra, essa chapa servia como identificação dos vaqueiros de Pedrão que iriam lutar durante a independência.

O chapéu dos encourados de Pedrão seria o primeiro caso documentado no nordeste de enfeites nas abas frontais de um chapéu de couro, o que mais tarde viraria moda entre os cangaceiros e cantores de forró, tendo como destaque o Luiz Gonzaga, que curiosamente também usava uma coroa no centro do seu chapéu, igual aos encourados de Pedrão.
