Description
English: Hand-tinted daguerreotype of Charles Augustus Murray (1806–1895), taken at 107 Regent Street, London, where Antoine Claudet opened a neo-Renaissance "Temple to Photography" in 1851. This photograph presumably includes servants Murray brought back to Britain from Egypt, where he served as Consul-General in the late 1840s.
