Description
English: Well maintained family grave of the Jodls, honouring Alfred Jodl, Hiltler's last chief of staff, sentenced to death at the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal and executed 1946 and his brother Ferdinand Jodl, general of mountaineering troups. Located in the graveyard of the Fraueninsel, within the Chiemsee (Southern Bavaria).
Deutsch: Das wohlgepflegte Familiengrab der Jodls im Friedhof des Klosters auf der Fraueninsel im Chiemsee. Nicht begraben ist dort Alfred Jodl, der letzte Generalstabschef der Wehrmacht unter Hitler, der beim Kriegsverbrecherprozeß in Nürnberg zum Tode verurteilt wurde (gehängt 1946), auch wenn der Stein seiner gedenkt. Dort liegen die Gebeine seiner Frau Irma und die seines Bruders Ferdinand Jodl, General der Gebirgstruppe.
