Silver Torch Cactus - native to Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay and Argentina. The name Cleistocactus comes from the Greek word kleistos meaning 'closed', because the flowers barely open. Part of the private collection of cacti and succulents at Manor Nursery, Angmering, West Sussex. The collection is open to the public during normal garden centre hours.
