DescriptionCleland old railway station (site), Lanarkshire (geograph 6178185).jpg
English: Cleland old railway station (site), Lanarkshire Opened in 1867 by the Caledonian Railway on the line from Holytown to Morningside, this station closed to passengers in 1930.
View south west at the former forecourt - the single storey station building would have been roughly where the nearest lamppost is and the track and platform would have crossed the road at an oblique angle behind the white car. A new housing estate has obliterated the site, although one of the roads is still called Station Road!
