A címerképek megfogalmazásához elsősorban a szfragisztikai (pecséttani) hagyományok adtak támpontot. Az 1774-ből származó pecsétkép fő motívumai az ekevas, csoroszlya és a szárán összekötött három búzakalász, emellett a köriratban helykitöltő szerepben három csillagot is találunk.
A búzakalász elsődlegesen a termékenységre utal: az elhaló növény elhullott magjai újrasarjadnak, az újjászületésnek, megújulásnak is jelképe. A kalászok a természet körforgását idézik: a földből a Nap ereje és víz által kibontakozó életerőt, a földbehullást és megsemmisülést, az egymáshoz simuló kalászok az összhangot, az egymásrautaltságot, az egyetértést és a közösség egységét is szimbolizálják.
A Szentháromságot a szivárvány jelképezi. A zöld Jézus földi működésére, a vörös kereszthalálára, a kék pedig égi származására utal. A csillagok a címertanban a dicsőség és szerencse jelképei, de egyházi ikonográfiai jelképként Szűz Máriát szimbolizálják. A csillag úgy vezeti a hívőket Jézushoz, mint az égbolt csillagai vezérlik a hajósokat.
A címeren három kalászt, három csillagot számolhatunk, emellett a templom épülete is hármas tagolódású. A heraldikában népszerű a motívumok hármas előfordulása a számmisztikához kapcsolódik: a három a legfontosabb szakrális szám: Ég és Föld találkozásából létrejött az Ember, ezzel válva teljessé az isteni megnyilvánulás. A három tehát a totalitást, az isteni rendet, a tökéletességet, az Isten-Ember-Világmindenség hármas rendjét képviseli.
A heraldikai mázak jelentéstartalma: Arany (Nap): értelem, ész, hit, tekintély, fenség, erény, erkölcsösség. Ezüst (Hold): bölcsesség, tisztaság, ártatlanság, őszinteség, szemérmesség. Kék (Jupiter): elvhűség, állhatatosság, ellenálló-képesség, bizalom. Zöld (Vénusz): szabadság, szeretet, szépség, remény, örökkévalóság. Vörös (Mars): hazaszeretet, önfeláldozás, tenni akarás, nagylelkűség.
