DESCRIPTION
Photograph of the Henry Colony house located on 79 West Street in Keene New Hampshire, which was built in 1869. Henry Colony was born in 1823 in Keene and was in several business ventures in Keene during his life.
After his death, the house was bought by Edward C. Thayer and then given to the city for a public library in 1899. The library is still located in this building, which has had several additions added onto it, and it is now 60 Winter Street.
