Summary

Description
English: Side-by-side comparison of the site for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington, D.C., in the United States. The original site approved for the memorial in August 2001 is on the left, and consists of three parcels. The enactment into law of Federal and District of Columbia Government Real Property Act of 2006 (Public Law 109–396) on December 15, 2006, barred the east-west realignment of C Street SW due to security concerns. Although a the site gained some additional land, unifying the parcels, it lost most of the southern portion of the alloted site to the Architect of the Capitol. The site as revised by P.L. 109-396 is on the right.
