DescriptionCongress Park Carousel buillding from north, Saratoga Springs.jpg
English: The Congress Park Carousel located in Congress Park in Saratoga Springs near the park entrance at Putnam Street, was carved in 1904 by "Master Carver" Marcus Charles Illions, a Lithuanian immigrant. Installed in an amusement park near Saratoga Lake in 1910, in 1987 it was in danger of being auctioned off and leaving the area until local volunteers raised enough money to purchase it. It was re-opened in Congress Park in 2002.
