Español: Cristiana Chamorro Barrios es la única precandidata presidencial de la oposición que no pertenece ni a la Alianza Ciudadana ni a la Coalición Nacional. Su nominación, asegura, se la ha dado “la gente” que coloca su nombre en las encuestas y es por ellos que insiste en la necesidad de la unidad opositora para derrotar a Daniel Ortega, tal como lo hizo su madre Violeta Barrios de Chamorro, en 1990.
Chamorro afirma que tiene claro que “nada se repite en la historia” y que el contexto actual de Nicaragua no es el mismo de hace tres décadas. Sin embargo, valora que la oposición debe “tomar las lecciones aprendidas” y apostar a ganarle a Ortega para evitar que se repitan los fraudes electorales de 2008, 2011 y 2016. Eso solo sería posible a través de “la unidad de las fuerzas políticas” y la elección de “un candidato único”, sostiene.
