Object history
Deutsch: Die ehemalige Reichsabtei Marchtal führte Schlüssel und Schwert als die Attribute ihrer Patrone Petrus und Paulus im Wappen, wobei Reihenfolge und Farben dieser Figuren gelegentlich wechselten. Zur Unterscheidung von anderen figurengleichen Wappen wurde in manchen Darstellungen ein sechsstrahliger Stern und schließlich auch noch ein Dreiberg hinzugefügt. Das so entstandene kleinere Klosterwappen wurde von der Gemeinde 1930 mit der Begründung übernommen, dass das Peter- und Paulus-Patrozinium auch nach dem Ende des Klosters hochgehalten worden sei.
