| Object history |
Deutsch: Wappen und Flagge der 1974 gebildeten Gemeinde wurden am 4. Juli 1978 vom Landratsamt Freudenstadt verliehen. Das Kreuz ist ein sogenanntes Goldblattkreuz, das als Beigabe in dem Grab einer christlichen alemannischen Adeligen des 7. Jahrhunderts östlich der St. Michaelskirche im Ortsteil Oberiflingen gefunden wurde. Das Grab wie der ehemals große Sprengel der Kirche, zu dem auch die Ortsteile Schopfloch und Unteriflingen gehörten, lassen auf einen alemannischen Adelssitz schließen. Als Tingierung des Hauptfeldes wurden Rot und Gold gewählt, weil dies die Farben mehrerer Adelsgeschlechter im alemannischen Raum waren. Die Hirschstange soll an die Zugehörigkeit der drei Orte zu Württemberg seit dem 16. beziehungsweise Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts erinnern. |
