Description
English: „The arms are a combination of St. Michael, patron saint of the village and the lion of Jülich, as the area historically belonged to the Counts of Jülich."
Deutsch: „Gespalten in Blau und Gold (Gelb), vorn der Erzengel Michael, dessen Haar, Kettenpanzer und Strümpfe golden (gelb), dessen Heiligenschein, Gesicht, Flügel und Rock silbern (weiß) tingiert sind und der einem schwarzen Drachen eine rote Lanze in den Rachen stößt; hinten ein steigender schwarzer Löwe mit roter Zunge.“ Das Wappen zeigt den Erzengel Michael; St. Michael ist der Patron der Waldnieler Pfarrkirche, sowie den Jülicher Löwen als Zeichen der früheren Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Jülich.
