The national park monument at Hjerkinn, near National Route E6, with the mountain Snøhetta in Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park in the background.

Snøhetta was once believed to be the highest mountain in Norway. The monument was finished to the official opening of the park by HM Harald V of Norway, 2002-06-01, artist: Bente Stokke. Read more about this event at Directorate for Nature Conservation and Norwegian Government (Norwegian text).

The monument is accessible by foot in summertime, approx 1 km north of the road crossing at Hjerkinn, parking at the eastern (right when going northwards) side. It is accessible even with a wheelchair. Approx. 300 meters walk from the parking lot.

I used my old Nikon F70 with a medium telephoto lens and got the film scanned at my Photo dealer.
