Description
English: Drawing of Major Henry Hitchcock's Tent at Sherman's Headquarters by Theodore Russell Davis. Davis was a correspondent for Harper's Weekly and he accompanied Major Henry Hitchcock, the Assistant Adjutant General of Volunteers, through the South in the last months of the Civil War. This sketch depicts Hitchcock's tent at Sherman's headquarters on February 25, 1865.
