English: Emanuel Edward Klein, FRS, (1844–1925), Croatian born British microbiologist. Sometimes credited as the 'Father of British Microbiology'. He was a professor at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in London. Elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of London in 1875.
