Summary

Description
English: Illustration of Edwin the Old (Aun den gamle), a myhological Swedish king in the Heimskringla. Aun reached extremely old age by successively sacrificing his sons to Odin; the illustraton shows the final stage where the king is "so old that he had to feed, like a little child, by suckling on a horn." His final son is being led away to sacrifice.
