Description Obsidian from the Mount Edziza source area in northern British Columbia, Canada, is found in archaeological sites dating to ca. 10,000 years ago in coastal areas of Southeast Alaska. They are derived from multiple obsidian flows and are highly variable in color, texture, and geochemical composition.
