English: Gezicht op de Eerste Regulierspoort te Amsterdam (View of the First Regulierspoort in Amsterdam). D'oude Regulliers Poorte t'Amsterdam. (title on object). Made by Simon Frisius in circa 1601. Description: "View of the First Regulierspoort in Amsterdam. In the foreground, figures perform everyday activities. In the background is the city. This building stood on the site of the current Munttoren, was built in 1480-1487 and functioned as a city gate until 1586. In 1618 it burned down. Numbered at the bottom left of the scene: 3. Part of a series of five prints in and near Amsterdam."
Nederlands: Gezicht op de Eerste Regulierspoort te Amsterdam. D'oude Regulliers Poorte t'Amsterdam. (title on object). Gezichten in en in de buurt van Amsterdam (Simon Frisius) (series title). Beschrijving: "Gezicht op de Eerste Regulierspoort te Amsterdam. Op de voorgrond voeren figuren alledaagse bezigheden uit. Op de achtergrond de stad. Dit gebouw stond op de plek van de huidige Munttoren, werd in 1480-1487 gebouwd en fungeerde tot 1586 als stadspoort. In 1618 brandde het af. Links onderaan de voorstelling genummerd: 3. Onderdeel van een serie van vijf prenten in en in de buurt van Amsterdam."
