English: Equestrian statue of Argentine hero José de San Martín, sculpted by French artist Louis-Joseph Daumas (1801-1887). The monument was placed at Plaza San Martín of Buenos Aires and officially inaugurated by then President of Argentina, Bartolomé Mitre, on July 13, 1862.
