Summary

Description
English: This reaction mechanism is based on a paper by T.Roy Fukuto "Mechanism of Action of Organophosphorus and Carbamate Insecticides" (1990). In this figure ChE is represented by En-OH, in which the OH is the hydroxygroup from the serine residue. R and R' represent the different groups that can be attached to the phosphorus and X is the leaving group. Kd is the dissociation constant between the enzyme-inhibitor complex and reactants, kp is the phosphorylation constant and ki is the bimolecular rate constant for inhibition
