Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) The image illustrates the European Robotic Arm in a clear and concise situation. The file is used to give the readers a view of what the arm looked like in development, and how it would sit during the launch to the International Space Station.

Not replaceable with
free media because (WP:NFCC#1) This purpose could not be served with an alternative, free illustration, as all images of the flight model taken during the media day, have either never been shared or are under similar copyright restrains. It is impossible for a similar image like this to be taken, as the ERA has launched to the ISS and has since left this configuration upon its deployment. Further images taken of the arm before deployment have it in its constraints and do not present as clear of an image as this one.

Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) The use of the file will be minimal as it will one be used as a reference for readers within the article, as well the image will likely only be used on one article.

Respect for
commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) The use of this file will not harm any commercial opportunities of its owner as the image is already publicly available on the European Space Agency website already.
