Description Example of a Scan for Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) on a single chromosome; this study was performed on patients with osteoporosis; 1,100 microsatellite markers were used for a Genome-wide Scan, and the main finding was a major QTL on chromosome 20 which is shown here with the detailed QTL data; see also this image for the complete results of all chromosomes
