Summary

[edit]

Author: Metroplex Note that the ballistic coefficients used for SS196SR and SS197SR come from Hornady for their 40 grain .224" diameter V-Max bullets (0.2) The ballistic coefficient used for SS195LF was guesstimated from the Berger .224" diameter 30 grain Hollow Point (0.193), since the actual SS195LF bullet is a 28.3 grain .222" diameter aluminum core hollow point. The velocity used were derived from PS90 figures (16.x" barrel) and the scope height is approximately 3.75". A 50 yd zero was used since almost every outdoor rifle range will have 50 yd targets. This gives a rather flat trajectory out to approximately 200 yd.
