Summary

Description
English: Illustration of the Boggart Fair Becca as described in "Juvenile tales for boys and girls", William Milner, 1849.

The boggart is shown shrieking at a courting couple, which she does to warn the young woman off from a lover that is untrue, so that she does not meet the same fate as Becca who was murdered by her beloved.

The book puts it so: "and when the faithless vow was on the lips, and the fire of burning passion in the veins, she would be heard to rend the air"
