The main portion, excluding part of the 185 ft (56 m) tower, of the First Congregational Church, in Portland, Oregon, viewed across the intersection of Park Avenue (at left) and Madison Street (at right). Built over a period of six years, from 1889 to 1895, the building is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The church itself was first organized in Portland in 1851, as indicated by a sign on the building's exterior.
