Summary

Description
English: A proposed flag for Oregon, designed by Gerald H. Black. One of the ten finalists in the 2008 contest (in which it was labelled "Flag A") held by The Oregonian newspaper to try and create a new flag for the state. The white shape on the blue section is a depiction of Mount Hood (the highest mountain in Oregon) against a blue sky. The green stripe represents Oregon's forests and agricultural areas, while the gold stripe represents the fields and high deserts of the state.
